The first half of 2025 has been a period of progress and meaningful milestones at IAG Cargo. From announcing our intention to launch a Global Cargo Joint Business and expanding our global network, to driving digital transformation and showcasing innovation at key industry events, we’ve laid a strong foundation for what’s to come in the remainder of 2025.

Here’s a look at what’s taken off so far this year, and how we’re continuing to build momentum.

Driving digital: secure the best price in a few clicks

At IAG Cargo, digital transformation isn’t just a goal, it’s a core pillar of our strategy, shaping how we deliver value to customers today while preparing us for a smarter, faster future.

The latest step on our digital transformation journey ensures customers always receive the best available price when they book online. Customers using IAGCargo.com now benefit from real-time pricing, instant booking, shipment tracking, and self-service tools. These features give our customers confidence that they can access the best rate, book quickly, and manage shipments with ease.

We have a clear vision to create a seamless, customer-first digital experience that meets the demands of today’s logistics landscape while anticipating tomorrow’s expectations. We will continue investing in technology, data, and innovation to bring that vision to life.

A major milestone: launch of a global cargo joint business

In April, we announced our intention to launch a Global Cargo Joint Business with Qatar Airways Cargo and MASkargo. By combining our collective strengths and infrastructure, this partnership will unlock new routing opportunities, increase operational agility, and provide unparalleled connectivity for customers across the global air freight market.

We held a dedicated press conference with Qatar Airways Cargo and MASkargo on the first day of Air Cargo Europe to announce that the partnership is progressing towards a formal launch in late 2025. During the press event, we were also proud to share that all three carriers will enter into individual agreements with the UN World Food Programme (WFP)—the largest humanitarian organisation fighting hunger—to collectively provide a proposed 1,000 tonnes of free capacity in support of essential food and commodity deliveries. This marks a unified commitment to humanitarian aid and the broader goal of ending world hunger.

Expanding our global network for summer 2025

Our Summer 2025 schedule went live at the end of March, delivering increased capacity across key markets and announcing the return of several strategic routes.

Highlights include the resumption of daily services between London Heathrow and Kuala Lumpur, new flights to Denver from Dublin, and the reinstatement of services to San Francisco from our Spanish hubs in Madrid and Barcelona. Frequencies to high-demand destinations such as Tokyo and Doha also saw significant increases, with Tokyo routes now operating twice daily from London Heathrow.

The Summer 2025 schedule reflects both our ambitious growth and our responsiveness to customer demand across key industries and regions. With increased frequencies, reinstated routes, and improved access to major hubs, the updated network offers greater flexibility, shorter transit times, and more reliable capacity for a wide range of cargo, including pharmaceuticals, perishables, automotive parts, and e-commerce goods.

Events and industry conferences

We attended the Air Cargo Europe conference in Munich at the beginning of June. As a central player in European logistics and a bridge to the rest of the world, IAG Cargo’s presence at Air Cargo Europe underscored our commitment to being at the heart of global trade.

This year, we were proud to showcase a modern and digitally focused stand, designed not only to reflect our innovative spirit but also to facilitate meaningful engagement with customers. The stand featured a private meeting room for in-depth conversations, interactive screens, and an immersive virtual reality experience offering a tour of our state-of-the-art New Premia facility at London Heathrow. It was a powerful opportunity to connect, collaborate, and bring our vision for the future of IAG Cargo to life.

Our U.S. colleagues also attended CNS in Miami, where they connected with customers, partners, and industry peers from across the regional supply chain. The team was excited to highlight our expanded summer capacity, connecting numerous destinations in the US to our four global hubs, along with our seamless trucking network across North America.

Delivering with purpose

Reflecting on the first half of the year, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Camilo Garcia Cervera shared:

“What we’ve achieved so far in 2025 speaks to the strength of our people, the depth of our partnerships, and the clarity of our long-term strategy. Whether through strategic collaboration, digital innovation, or expanding our global reach, we remain focused on delivering for our customers and shaping the future of air cargo.”

As we look to the second half of the year, we remain committed to evolving with our customers and meeting the demands of a fast-moving global market. By continuing to deliver speed, reliability, and care, we ensure we’re not just a logistics provider, but a partner our customers trust to deliver their cargo seamlessly across the world.
