IAG Cargo, the cargo division of International Airlines Group (IAG), has announced the launch of a third daily service between London Heathrow and Delhi from 19 September 2026, further strengthening connectivity between the UK and India.

Aligned with growing demand for air cargo between India, the UK and international markets, the new year-round service will be operated by British Airways, using a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.

The schedule includes three daily services to both Mumbai and Delhi, alongside increased frequencies to Bengaluru and increases IAG Cargo's London Heathrow–India capacity to 70 weekly services, up from 56 in 2025.

Demand in the Delhi market has been particularly strong for IAG Cargo, with cargo volumes increasing 12.6% outbound and 14.4% inbound between January and May 2026 compared with the same period last year.

The landmark UK-India Free Trade Agreement, which came into force on 15 July 2026, is expected to further support trade flows between the two countries, with IAG Cargo well positioned to help businesses move goods between India, the UK and onward to destinations across its global network.

Together, these services provide customers with onward connectivity via London Heathrow to destinations across Europe, North America, Latin America and the Middle East.

India's diverse export economy continues to drive demand for air cargo, with pharmaceuticals, aerospace and automotive components, e-commerce shipments, garments and seasonal perishables among the commodities transported through IAG Cargo's network.

According to WorldACD data, total Indian export volumes increased by 5% between January and May 2026 compared with the same period last year.
